Charisms
The members of the CCB seek first and foremost to be open to the living presence of God in the Holy Spirit. It was this openness to God’s grace that enabled the founders to recognize and respond to the Church’s need for a religious community in which the blind could genuinely and meaningfully live out their Christian vocation, and be of service to others.
Our members seek to grow in God’s grace through a deep experience of prayer and the sacraments, and to share this experience with others. With the help of Divine Providence, we seek to imitate the virtues and salvific work of Jesus Christ, who laid down his life for his friends. The CCB especially desires to foster and utilize the often underestimated gifts and potential of the blind to serve the Church and society, particularly our blind and needy brothers and sisters.
